Walnut and Black Sideboard – Handmade Contemporary Credenza

This walnut and black sideboard is built around two strong materials. A warm walnut top sits over a deep matte black cabinet. Because there are no handles, the front is one clean surface, broken only by the fine lines between the doors.

Designed to float

This walnut and black sideboard stands on two solid slab legs set well in from each end. Because both ends overhang the legs, the cabinet looks like it is hovering above the floor. It is a sculptural piece from any side, and it also leaves floor space clear underneath.

Storage you don’t see

Four push-to-open doors hide a practical inside. The centre section has two compartments with a central divider, and each has a shelf. As a result, there is room for tableware, glassware, records, media equipment or files. The concealed hinges and push latches keep all the hardware out of sight.
